Participation in the international conference "Splendid Encounters XII: Fake It Till You Make It: Deception, Bribery, and Veiled Threats in Early Modern Diplomacy."
The international scientific conference "Splendid Encounters XII: Fake It Till You Make It: Deception, Bribery, and Veiled Threats in Early Modern Diplomacy" was held on September 22 and 23, 2025, at the Faculty of History of the University of Warsaw, Poland, co-organized by the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The scientific forum was attended by 19 scholars, including Dr. Anelia Stoyanova, who presented a report "European Diplomatic Intrigues at the Ottoman Court: The Spanish Treaty (1620s)". The research that led to the preparation of the presentation was conducted as part of the project "Diplomacy and Intelligence in the Balkans, 17th - 19th centuries: The Human Factor and Networks of Influence".
